In the morning of January 30, the law-enforcers detained 34-year-old singer Aliaksandra Zakharyk, according to the Viasna human rights center.

According to human rights activists, her house was searched. The celebrity is charged with Article 342 of the Criminal Code (“Organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them”). She is held in the Akrestsin Street detention center.

Aliaksandra Zakharyk is a Belarusian singer, performs soul, jazz, and funk. She participated in the ‘Voice” project, and the Eurovision qualifiers.
