A portrait of the Russian Orthodox Patriarch has been added to the reproduction of the painting "Trinity" by Andrei Rublev.
The Moscow Patriarchate has published photos from the regular meeting of the Holy Synod in the Danilovsky Monastery.
One of them shows a reproduction of the famous painting, which has the head of the Russian Orthodox Church Vladimir Gundyaev (also known as Patriarch Kirill), on it .
Theologian Andrei Kuraev drew attention to this.
"This one has already turned into god himself and became the fourth person of the Trinity right in his lifetime," Kuraev wrote.
It is clear that the original of Rublev's Trinity is obsolete and not needed."
