Solovyov Called On Lying About Patriotism

The Kremlin propagandist has started to justify himself.

"If war suddenly breaks out in Israel, he will go straight to it": this is what well-known Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov said in an interview almost 20 years ago, claims journalist Ilya Shepelin.

Shepelin published a link in his Telegram channel to Solovyov's "beautiful archival interview" with a newspaper of the Jewish community in Moscow. In that text, Shepelin emphasises, Soloviev is referred to as "a Russian Zionist, a Jewish patriot".

"I checked - the article is not fake. The interview was taken in 2004 and later posted on Soloviev's own personal website. The site has long since died, but a copy of this page was first saved on the Web Archive as early as 2006," Shepelin writes.

The Kremlin propagandist started to justify himself. In his programme, he said that the Israeli ambassador had allegedly replied to him that "Solovyov is too old to serve in the IDF."
