Feat By UAF 110th Mechanized Brigade Saved Avdiivka

But the Russian command is planning a new assault.

The situation on October 15 regarding the battles for Avdiivka is the direction of the main efforts of Russian troops in the Donbas. The settlement is stormed by the 114th, 15th, 21st motorized rifle brigades, reinforced by special forces of the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces. The 30th motorized rifle brigade is concentrated in reserve. They are supported by artillery and aviation with a significant amount of ammunition. The enemy is attacking Avdiivka simultaneously from the south and north.

In this direction, the enemy created an advantage of 3-4 times in the number of personnel, as well as an advantage in armored vehicles, artillery and aviation.

From October 1 to October 9, the Russians conducted reconnaissance in force with the forces of the 114th brigade.

On October 10, the assault on Avdiivka began. The attack of the main forces was aimed at covering the city from the north in the direction from Krasnohorivka to the villages of Stepove and Berdych. It is on the northern outskirts of Avdiivka that the “Avdiivka’s waste heap”, famous in the Russian Telegram, is located.

From October 10 to October 14, Russian troops carried out continuous assault operations day and night, while simultaneously introducing significant forces into battle — individual our platoon strongholds attacked columns of up to 30 armored vehicles with landing troops.

But an outstanding military feat for Ukraine was performed by the 110th mechanized brigade, which defends Avdiivka. The 110th brigade, reinforced by the 2nd battalion of the Presidential Brigade and several special forces, showed high combat capability and was well prepared for a Russian attack.

Under attack from three Russian brigades at once and under hurricane fire, our troops generally held the first line of defense. On October 15, the enemy was forced to stop to regroup because they had “run out” of infantry. 135 armored vehicles were destroyed and knocked out around Avdiivka in four days.

One forward landing, which the invaders captured, cost them three assault battalions, and they were forced to regroup.

The reconnaissance battalion of the 114th brigade of the Russian Armed Forces attacked Avdiivka’s waste heap directly, and the assault group was actually able to climb to the top to a height of 40 meters, but they all remained there.

Unfortunately, Ukrainian units also suffered serious losses. But the troops have effective management, morale and continue to destroy the enemy. The Russian command is planning a new assault and replenishment of the defeated units.

Now it is necessary to draw attention to Avdiivka. So that we don’t have to later cry about the “Avdiivka fortress” and solve the crisis, we need to strengthen our defense in time now.

Civil society can help now — the heroes of the 110th mechanized brigade need drones, especially night ones, they need FPV drones, initiation boards, antennas to control drones. All this is urgently needed. My foundation is now transferring a batch of such equipment to Avdiivka, but much more is needed.

I ask everyone who has the opportunity to immediately provide drones for the defense of Avdiivka. And I hope the garrison will be reinforced with reserves and ammunition.
