Bild Reports Russia’s Huge Losses Near Adviivka

Dozens of tanks and armored personnel carriers.

During the offensive on Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, the Russian army has already lost more than 200 military personnel and more than 60 tanks and armored personnel carriers.

According to Bild military analyst Julian Roepke, Russian troops, trying to encircle Avdiivka, went on the offensive in columns of more than 100 pieces of equipment: tanks, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, and trucks. However, they came under artillery and ATGM fire and were driven back.

According to the analyst, Ukrainian troops killed more than 200 Russian occupiers and destroyed more than 60 tanks and armored personnel carriers.

As Roepke noted, the Russian plan was to create a large cauldron by bypassing Avdiivka from the west. To do this, they wanted to capture the villages of Pivnichne, Stepove and Berdychi.

However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to stop the advance of the invaders near Pivnichne and on the railway line in Stepove. According to the analyst, despite the losses, Russian troops do not intend to abandon the attack on Avdiivka.
