‘Tell Me Who Your 'Terrorists' Are, And I Will Tell Who You Are’

A Belarusian named those who are “close in class” to the regime.

“In the kaleidoscope of all kinds of news, the eye noticed one, which, unfortunately, has already become familiar: the KGB has updated the list of “organizations and individuals involved in terrorist activities.” In that list of new terrorists I saw a familiar name — Nasta Loika,” reader Maksim from Minsk wrote to the editors of the Charter97.org website.

I once had contact with Nasta on public affairs. I remember her as a modest, friendly girl who, without any fuss, calmly did her life’s work — helping people whose rights were violated. And from the point of view of the current regime, she is a terrible criminal!

I wondered who else was on that list. It turned out that as many as 368 Belarusians. The KGB included mostly human rights activists, journalists, scientists, musicians, entrepreneurs — that is, people who form the foundation of the nation. They did not kill anyone, did not torture, did not take hostages. They were only critical of Lukashenka.

By the way, there are still many foreign individuals and organizations involved in terrorism on that notorious list. One of the world's famous terrorist movements, Hamas, recently launched an attack on Israel, committing a bloody murder of civilians. Palestinian militants mercilessly killed hundreds of women and children and took dozens hostage. So these monsters, real beasts in human form, are not on the KGB list... for some reason!

I can guess why not. After all, these murderers and executioners are “class-related” individuals. We now know that in 2014 Lukashenka provided refuge to fugitive Berkut fighters who tortured and killed Ukrainians during the Revolution of Dignity. They were all assigned to the Lukashist riot police — the chance to attract such “pros” could not be missed.

The public learned about this blatant fact thanks to the journalist Dzianis Ivashyn, whom the Lukashists sent to jail for a huge term and declared a “terrorist” for this.

Probably, few people will be surprised if “specialists” from Hamas are also invited to join the riot police. Those, naturally, who will survive the IDF operation. They might even send an evacuation plane after them, these are such “valuable personnel”!

In conclusion, let me paraphrase a popular saying. Tell me who your “terrorists” are, and I will tell you who you are.
