More Than Just Four 'Alligators' Hit: New Details Of ATACMS Strike On Aerodromes In Berdyansk, Luhansk

On October 17, the AFU for the first time used American ATACMS missiles to strike enemy military facilities in the occupied territories of Ukraine. Russia lost at least four Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters due to the destruction of airfields in Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia region, and Luhansk used by the Russian occupants.
Such data was released by the "Spy's Dossier" Telegram channel. Also, the channel claims, the invaders lost six Mi-8 multi-purpose helicopters.
Referring to the data received from the source, "Spy's Dossier" published information about the losses of the Russian army due to the defeat of airfields in temporarily occupied Berdyansk and Luhansk.
"As a consequence of the attack on the night of October 17, 2023 on the airfields of Berdyansk and Lugansk, during which tactical ballistic missiles of the MGM-140A ATACMS Block 1 type (containing 950 combat elements of the M74 type) were used for the first time on the territory of Ukraine, the losses of aviation equipment of the Russian Armed Forces amounted to: in Berdyansk - 3 reconnaissance and attack helicopters of the type Ka-52 "Alligator", 5 multi-purpose helicopters of the type Mi-8 were destroyed, in Lugansk - 1 reconnaissance and attack helicopter of the type Ka-52 "Alligator" and 1 multi-purpose helicopter of the type Mi-8 were destroyed," noted in the message.
The administrator of the channel specified that he publishes information as of 20:00 October 17.
Meanwhile, satellite images of the airfield in Berdyansk before and after the October 17 strike are being shared via Telegram. The photo after the attack shows five black spots - probably traces of burnt-out helicopters of the Russian army.
We remind you that on the night of October 17, the AFU struck at the helicopters of the occupants and equipment of airfields near Luhansk and Berdyansk. There the invaders concentrated aviation used for strikes against Ukrainian soldiers on the front line.
Subsequently, the SOF revealed the details of the strikes: according to the Ukrainian soldiers, the enemy has minus 9 helicopters, an ammunition depot, an air defence system, as well as losses of personnel killed and wounded.
Later it became known that the extremely effective strikes were carried out with the help of American ATACMS missiles, the supply of which was not officially reported. However, in the evening of October 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine had used long-range missiles from the United States.
