Border Conflict: Illegal Immigrants Attacked Polish Patrol

The number of offences has sharply increased.

October began with an increase in illegal migrant activity on the border of Belarus with EU member states. On October 1, 318 foreigners tried to illegally cross the borders with Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.

220 violators were reported In Latvia, as of Sunday. Also, Lithuanian border guards registered 38 attempts to cross the border by illegal migrants.

The Polish Border Guard reported 60 illegal migrants, including citizens of Iran and Iraq. It is also noted that a group of foreigners once again threw stones and branches at Polish patrols. No damages registered.
