ATACMS Strikes: Ukrainian Forces Destroyed Deep Russian Rears In Zaporizhzhia

Russians are withdrawing their heavy weapons closer to the sea coast.

The Russian invaders had an “explosive week” in the occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region. They no longer have a “deep rear” now.

The mayor of occupied Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, spoke about this during a telethon on October 22.

He noted that the week began with the liquidation of the enemy base at the Berdiansk airfield, then the invaders suffered in occupied Tokmak, twice in Melitopol and again in Berdiansk.

“It was super loud this week in every city in the deep rear - in Melitopol, and in Berdiansk, and in Henichesk,” he said.

Fedorov added that Berdyansk brought the greatest losses to the enemy since a large number of occupiers’ helicopters were destroyed at the airfield there, also it is one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian military in Zaporizhzhia.

“There was also an explosion on the airbase of the temporarily occupied Berdiansk and in the city, so the liquidation of the enemy continues there. But the most important thing is that the enemy already clearly understands that there is no deep rear in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region,” said the mayor of Melitopol.

Fedorov added that the occupiers did not sleep peacefully for a single night thanks to the precise work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Special Operations Forces, ATACMS missiles and Melitopol partisans. “To be continued,” he promised.

Now, he said, the occupiers are moving and dispersing manpower and heavy vehicles.

They began to place even more personnel on the Azov coast, on the territory of Henichesk, Kyrylivka and Pryazovske, where the invaders set up the largest training bases. One of the bases is located in the territory between Berdiansk and Mariupol.

“Also, this week the enemy began to build another defence line,” Fedorov said.

“The enemy began to bring concrete structures and new ‘dragon teeth’ through the ports of Mariupol and Berdiansk in order to build new defences,” he said.

The occupiers are building defence lines between Berdiansk and Marupol, as well as in the direction of Poloh and Tokmak.
