Hamas Rocket Hits Residential Building Near Tel Aviv

A 9-storey building in Petah Tikva near Tel Aviv is on fire as a result of a Hamas rocket attack, Israeli media reported.

At about 14:00 local time, a massive salvo was fired from the Gaza Strip at Israeli towns near Tel Aviv.

The affected towns were mainly Rishon le-Zion and other settlements southeast of Tel Aviv, as well as Petah Tikva, where a fire broke out after a rocket fragment hit a residential building.

Fire and rescue service officers are working at the site, and smoke is coming from the 9-storey building.

Rescuers are conducting searches in case anyone is injured or trapped.

Several other buildings in the area where the house is burning have been damaged, but no injuries have been reported yet.

A video captured the eerie moment of the rocket "arriving" at the house.
