Ukrainian Armed Forces Breaking Through Occupiers’ Defenses West Of Verbove, With Success

The Ukrainian troops are consolidating their position.

In the Tavria direction, the occupying forces of the Russian Federation concentrated on attacks on the cities of Avdiivka and Maryinka in the Donetsk region. Meanwhile, the defenders of Ukraine have partial success west of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia area.

Oleksandr Shtupun, speaker of the joint press center of the Tavria Defense Forces, announced this on the morning of Monday, October 9, on the air of one of the Radio Liberty projects. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue the offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, he noted.

Ukrainian military personnel inflict losses on the enemy, consolidate positions, carry out mine clearance and additional reconnaissance for subsequent actions.

According to Shtupun, activity in the Tavria direction has recently decreased somewhat. Over the past 24 hours (October 8), 18 clashes were recorded.

“We attribute this to the weather and the fact that the enemy will partially regroup,” the military man explained.

Bad weather complicated the logistics of the occupiers. The enemy also uses its aircraft less.

On October 8, on the specified section of the front, the Russian invaders lost 147 units of manpower and six units of military equipment (two tanks, three armored vehicles and one artillery system).
