A banner with the skull of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was damaged in Riga due to bad weather. The banner is called a symbol of Latvia's support for Ukraine. Money for the restoration was collected in a day.
The banner was hung on the façade of the Paula Stradynia Museum of the History of Medicine in March 2022, after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Periodically, the banner with Putin's "dead head" suffers due to weather. On November 16, the museum reported that this time it was damaged by strong winds, and announced a collection for 5,500 euros.
It is necessary to restore the metal scaffolding fixed in the building structure of the facade and to make the print on a lighter fabric.
As Delfi writes, the museum managed to collect 5769 euros in one day.

Kārtējo reizi saplosīts rudens vēja brāzmās, plakāts prasa nopietnus atjaunošanas darbus, tai skaitā fasādes būvkonstrukcijā stiprinātas metāla sastatnes un vieglāka auduma apdruku.

The banner hangs in front of the Russian embassy in Latvia and symbolises support for the citizens of Ukraine. It shows a black and white skull of the dictator on a bloody background. At first it was an illustration in the Latvian magazine Ir by Kriszs Salmanis, but it was decided to enlarge it.
