Russia Withdraws All Warships From The Black And Azov Seas

The Ukrainian Navy answers why.

Russia has withdrawn all the warships from the Black and Azov Seas. This is evidenced by information provided by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the morning of November 19.

“As of 07:30 on November 19, 2023, there are no enemy warships in the Black and Azov Seas,” the Navy said.

There are now two Russian warships in the Mediterranean Sea, including one carrier of Caliber cruise missiles (up to 8 missiles charge).

The Navy also clarified the Russian vessels that crossed the Kerch Strait over the past 24 hours:

to the Sea of Azov - 4 vessels, two of them were moving from the Bosphorus Strait;

to the Black Sea - 0 vessels.

According to the Navy reports, there was two enemy vessel one in the Black and one in the Sea of Azov on November 18, and there were three ships (two in the Black Sea, including one Caliber carrier, and one in the Azov Sea) on November 17.

For example, there were a total of eight enemy warships in the Black Sea on November 8, Also, one was in the Sea of Azov and one in the Mediterranean Sea.

What is the reason?

On November 19, the Russian fleet did not enter the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. Bad weather was the reason.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, the speaker of the Ukrainian Navy, spoke about it during a telethon.

The naval forces reported on social media that Russia did not deploy a single warship to the Black and Azov Seas that day. That is, there are no Caliber carriers there.

The Ukrainian military noted that there was stormy weather. It reduced the activity of the fleet and aviation.

“The use of weapons is impossible there. The corvettes there are quite resistant to such weather conditions, but the weapons are designed for slightly different conditions,” Pletenchuk explained.
