'It All Ended Quite Dramatically For Lukashenka'

The dictator still hasn't recovered from the trauma he suffered at the MZKT.

On the eve of the 2020 elections, Lukashenka preferred to meet with officials, superiors and visit units of the power structures. And it ended quite dramatically for Lukashenka, writes Belarusian political scientist Valeryj Karbalevich.

Lukashenka has a traumatic scar in his memory from his visit to the Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant (MZKT) in the hot days of August 2020, when workers chanted "Leave!".

"Now the communication has shifted to the enterprises. This is a kind of psychological compensation, overcoming the "MZKT syndrome"," the political analyst notes.
