Falsifiers Afraid Of Belarusians With Biometric Passports

Yermoshyna's successors voiced a strange decision.

A biometric passport cannot be used to receive a ballot during the "single day of voting," this information was announced at a meeting of the CEC on November 21.

CEC Secretary Alena Baldouskaya explained that the biometric passport cannot be among these documents because it does not contain the patronymic of the voter.

According to her, the main document for voting is a citizen's passport, an ID-card can be used. In addition, student and pupil ID cards are included in the list of documents with which one can come to the polling stations and receive a ballot.

According to the plan, the registration of candidates for "deputies will take place from January 16 to 30, 2024, campaigning will begin on January 31 and will end on February 24 next year.

Early "voting" will begin on February 20 and end on Saturday, the day before the election, February 24.
