Panic In Russia: Kremlin Rethinking War Scenarios

The expert named three scenarios.

The situation on the Russian-Ukrainian front is not unfolding at all the way the aggressor country would like. That is why the Kremlin is considering different scenarios regarding the war.

Political expert and head of the Vezha Center for Public Analytics Valery Klochok listed to Channel 24 three options for the development of events that Russia can think through. In particular, we are talking about a change of power in Ukraine.

“There is real panic in Russia. It does not appear publicly, but it is obvious — it cannot be ignored. Therefore, they are simulating different scenarios, including Zelensky’s replacement,” Klochok noted.

Probably, we are not talking about the physical destruction of the Ukrainian president, but about his resignation by weakening the situation in our country.

In this way, the Kremlin seeks to obtain a negotiator who will agree to negotiate directly with Vladimir Putin. Zelensky has repeatedly stated that he will not conduct any negotiations with the Russian president.

Other scenarios

In addition to the change of power in Ukraine, the Kremlin is also considering a change of power in Russia itself. Then, they say, Zelensky will agree to negotiations.

“Although Russia is hatching a plan to replace Putin, the Kremlin is not yet ready to unequivocally state that Putin is not going to the next elections — because he is going to the elections,” Klochok stated.

In addition, the Russian political elite is considering reducing the intensity of military operations at the front. But it will not be easy to explain to the majority of its citizens why there were such serious losses at the front, and why this “special military operation” began in the first place. Especially if Ukraine does join NATO.
