Lithuanian Interior Minister Proposing To Discuss Unification Of Sanctions Against Russians, Belarusians

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country has previously supported the application of these measures.

Lithuanian Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite argues that it is necessary to return to the discussion of unification of sanctions against Russians and Belarusians, as the Department of State Security (DSS) warns of threats coming from Belarus, Delfi.

"I believe we should return to these discussions and talk to parliamentarians once again, because there are new circumstances that need to be assessed," the minister said at a press conference organised by the Interior Ministry on Monday.

"These discussions are ongoing, especially after the DSS publicly presented its arguments to the public, pointing out real threats," she added.

Bilotaite says the Interior Ministry has supported the use of these measures before.
