The attack took place near the coast of Morocco.
Recently, the media wrote that scientists are recording strange behavior of killer whales all over the planet, including attacks on boats. And then the other day another, this time quite serious, incident occurred: killer whales sank a Polish yacht in the Strait of Gibraltar. Its owners reported this on November 1.
An emergency with the yacht Grazie Mamma II happened off the coast of Morocco.

“Yesterday afternoon our yacht was attacked by a pod of killer whales. For 45 minutes they hit the rudder (the underwater part of the steering wheel — edit.), which led to serious damage and a hole,” said the owners of the yacht, the Sea Miles company, which organizes sailing cruises in the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas.
The captain of the yacht, crew and rescuers, employees of port tugs and the Moroccan Navy tried to pull the yacht to the port, but failed — it sank not far from the entrance to the port of Tangier Med.
The crew of the yacht itself was not hurt; the people have already been transported to Spain.
Important to note, killer whales demonstrate new cruel ways of collective hunting for whales, sharks and other marine life, steal fish from fishermen, attack boats, and most importantly, transfer these skills to each other through social learning.
