Messages about the “attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces” appeared around 9:30 (Minsk time). One of the popular z-publics in Russia claims that the target of the drones allegedly launched by Ukraine was the Khalino military airfield in the Kursk region.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to attack the Khalino airfield in the Kursk region with drones. According to our data, at least three UAVs were flying. At about 9:00 the air defense system went off. The consequences on the ground are being clarified. Preliminarily, there were no casualties,” the message noted.
Governor Roman Starovoyt also announced the work of air defense in the Kursk region.
“Air defense is operating in the Kursk region. Please remain calm! If you find UAV debris, do not touch or approach them,” he wrote.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the work of air defense in the Kursk region, and announced a drone attack.

“On November 4, at about 09.00 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack with two aircraft-type UAVs on targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped. The air defense systems on duty destroyed two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Kursk region,” stated the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor state.

The day before, a series of powerful explosions were heard in the Russian Rostov-on-Don. According to local residents, there were at least eight of them.
