New, Clearer Satellite Images Of Ship Hit In Kerch Published

They clearly show that the ship suffered significant damage as a result of the hit.

New, clearer satellite images of the Russian ship Askold, which was hit by a Ukrainian missile in the dock of a shipyard in occupied Kerch, have appeared on the Internet. The images were published by Ukrainian OSINT group called Truth Hounds, Unian notes.

The published images are said to be dated 12 pm. They record the ship in the dock with a clearly visible black soot in the central part.

"Today's images show that there was at least one visible strike affecting the ship and one additional crane was moved to deal with the aftermath," the photo's annotation reads.

A shot of the ship as of 31 October 2023 has also been published for comparison. In this shot, there is no sign of fire and no cargo crane nearby.

Strike on Russian ship in Kerch

On Saturday, explosions were heard in Kerch on the territory of the local Zaliv shipyard. The Russian occupiers reported an attack of half a dozen missiles, which were shot down all to one, and the "debris" fell on the territory of the shipyard.

However, it soon became known that in fact at least one hit against the ship had indeed taken place. Later this information was confirmed by the AFU. At that time, the Russians officially admitted that the missile had indeed hit the ship of the Karakurt project.
