Explosions At 'Saki', 'Belbek' Airbases: Drones Attack Sevastopol

UAVs struck in several areas of the Crimean peninsula at once.

On Tuesday night, November 7, explosions were heard in Crimea temporarily seized by Russia. The occupation administration in Sevastopol said about an alleged "attack of Ukrainian UAVs" on the peninsula.

The explosions were heard in the area of the Belbek airfield, which is used by the occupiers for their military purposes. It is located near Sevastopol.

It is also reported that at around 3:10am several loud explosions were heard near Saki and Novofedorivka. A military airfield is also located in this area.

As the "governor" of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, wrote, the occupiers' air defence system was allegedly working in the city. According to him, "5 UAVs have already been shot down" over the water area.

"The air defence system is working in Sevastopol. According to preliminary data 5 UAVs have already been shot down over the water area. All services are working in normal mode," the occupier said.

At the same time the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported that explosions were also heard in Bakhchisaray and Saki districts. The loud sounds triggered alarms on cars.

Also the network wrote about explosions in Novofedorivka. There is a Russian "Saki" military airfield there. The occupants have not yet commented on this information.

Later, Razvozhayev said that debris from one of the allegedly downed UAVs fell on the roof of a private house in Andriivka in Sevastopol. A small fire started there.

Later, the Russian defence ministry said it had foiled "an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack" by 17 UAVs at once on facilities on the territory of the aggressor country. The Russian defence ministry said that they "destroyed nine Ukrainian drones" and intercepted "another eight" over the Black Sea and the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea.
