‘Houses, Windows, Ground Trembled’: Powerful Explosions At Military Airfield In Taganrog, Russia

An attack by ATACMS missiles is reported.

In the morning of November 7, a powerful explosion occurred near the airport in the Russian city of Taganrog.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to local Telegram channels.

According to local residents, about an hour ago a powerful explosion was heard in Taganrog. According to eyewitnesses, “houses, windows, and the ground trembled.”

“About an hour ago, a powerful explosion thundered in the outskirts of Taganrog. Houses, windows, ground trembled somewhere... It all happened near the airport. Perhaps the plane landed so loudly, but it is not certain, because they do not land so loudly, with smoke. Many people think that this is air defense, so this version is also not excluded. One can only guess what happened,” writes one of Taganrog's online public groups.

According to reports, the explosion occurred near the airport. Footage from the scene of the event, on which smoke is visible, is published online.

Also, in the Russian public, it is assumed that the airfield in Taganrog was hit by ATACMS missiles.

“It's very loud in the Rostov region. The sound comes from the places where they have reported hits, that is, near the airfield. Our military birds were there,” the message says.

Allegedly, two planes have already been damaged, but the information needs to be confirmed.
