Zelensky Orders To Speed Up Construction Of Fortifications 'In Main Directions'

The President of Ukraine held a meeting with the military leadership in Zaporizhzhia.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed to speed up the construction of fortifications in all main directions of the front during a meeting with the country's military leadership in Zaporizhzhia.

"In all the main directions where it is necessary to strengthen, to speed up the construction of fortifications. Certainly, it is first of all Avdiivka, Maryinka and other directions in Donetsk region - maximum attention. In Kharkiv region, this is the Kupyansk direction, as well as the Kupyansk-Lyman defence line. And all of Kharkiv region, Sumy region, Chernigiv region, Kyiv region, Rivne region, Volyn region. Also the south - Kherson region," the Ukrainian leader said.

The meeting with the military leadership also discussed the needs upon which Ukraine will work with partners to strengthen its defence lines.

"A special attention is the construction of shelters in schools, particularly here in Zaporizhzhia and the region, so that children can study at least in a mixed format -offline as well," Zelensky emphasised.

On November 29, Zelensky discussed a significant strengthening of fortifications in the regions and air defence at the commander-in-chief's headquarters, Ukrayinska Pravda reported.
