YAHYA SINWAR

Hiding in a humanitarian convoy.

The leader of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, fled from the northern part of the Gaza Strip to the southern part with a humanitarian convoy during an Israeli military operation, The Times of Israel reported on Saturday, December 9, citing the Kan Israeli broadcaster.

Sinwar fled northern Gaza early in the fighting, hiding in a humanitarian convoy heading south, according to an Israeli official with knowledge of the case.

According to the report, Sinwar fled Gaza City and headed to the city of Khan Yunis in the south of the enclave in a vehicle that provided “humanitarian protection.”

Israel estimates that the Hamas leader is still in one of the tunnels running under Khan Yunis.
