Witold Waszczykowski Urges Belarusian MFA: Show People Statkevich!

Nothing has been known about the leader of the Belarusian opposition for more than 300 days.

Vice-Chair of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs and former Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski appealed to the Belarusian MFA with a demand to immediately provide information about the whereabouts and well-being of the leader of the Belarusian opposition Mikalai Statkevich.

The politician referred on X (formerly known as Twitter) to the article by the Charter97.org Editor-in-Chief Natallia Radzina, in which the Belarusian journalist demanded that the Lukashenka regime refute information received from several sources about the possible death in prison of the leader of the Belarusian opposition Mikalai Statkevich.

Show us Mikalai Statkevich, if he is alive. Show him to his closest and dearest person – Maryna Adamovich. Allow them to meet him or at least to have a video conversation with him!

Otherwise, your silence will mean that the sources were right and the death of one more political prisoner is on Lukashenka’s and his punishers’ hands,” said Natallia Radzina.
