'Sitting On His Chair For Too Long': Kremlin Discussing Key Figure's Resignation

The approximate date of loud changes is announced.

Government and Kremlin officials, as well as high-ranking "united Russia" and working political technologists are discussing personnel reshuffles that may take place after the presidential election in the Russian Federation in March 2024.

Four sources close to the Kremlin and United Russia told Meduza that they expect several high-profile members of the "power vertical" to change their positions.

According to them, in particular, there is a widespread opinion in these circles that Sergei Kiriyenko, deputy head of the presidential administration and supervisor of the Kremlin's domestic political bloc, has "over-sat in his chair". Kiriyenko has been in office for more than seven years; his predecessor, current Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, served two years less.

"The president tries to rotate personnel so that people don't stick, don't sit too long, don't grow in power and make ties. This almost doesn't concern state corporations. But it does concern officials," explained one of the interlocutors close to the Kremlin.
