Ukrainian Airline's Plane Flies Out Of Boryspil Airport

This is the fourth successful flight of the aircraft from the airport since the beginning of the full-scale war.

A Boeing 777-300 aircraft of the Ukrainian Skyline Express airline flew out of Boryspil International Airport yesterday. This was reported by the airport's press service on Facebook on December 19.

The technical transfer of the aircraft from Boryspil to one of the European airports was performed at about 9.00 am.

"The flight adhered to the highest standards of aviation and flight safety, in accordance with the directives in force at the time of martial law in Ukraine, and, it should be noted, without passengers or cargo on board. Since the closing of Ukrainian airspace on February 24, 2022, Skyline Express aircraft have been parked at Boryspil Airport undergoing continuous technical support and maintenance," the statement said.

This is the fourth successful ferrying of the aircraft from Boryspil airport since the start of the full-scale war.

"This technical ferrying of an aircraft at Boryspil not only contributes to testing the recovery policy, but is also a strategic step for Ukrainian airlines, helping them to reduce costs and improve their chances of survival in the challenging aviation environment. This strategic initiative paves the way for the restoration of regular operations as soon as an appropriate risk assessment allows it," the press service emphasised.
