The Nobel medal has been taken out of the flat, but manuscripts and diaries remain there.
There are threats to take away the Minsk flat of Nobel laureate Svetlana Alexievich.
The writer herself told about it in an interview to the German edition of Die Zeit.
After receiving the Nobel Prize in Literature, Svetlana Alexievich bought a flat in the so-called "Chyzh's House" near Troitski suburb in Minsk. Before that, she lived in a neighbouring house overlooking Svislach, from where, according to the writer, she was evicted by her books: there was too little space for them.
"Now the propagandists say that this flat would be ideal for a family man from the riot police. Lukashenka threatens to take revenge on all those who participated in the revolution then," Alexievich said in the interview.
A lot of manuscripts and diaries, about which she worries the most, were left in Alexievich's Minsk flat. Recently, according to the writer, there was a possibility to remove the Nobel medal from the flat.
