Aviation expert Valery Romanenko commented on the destruction of three Su-34 of the Russian invaders at once in the southern direction.

At the same time, he admits that the Ukrainian Defense Forces used the Patriot air defense system. The expert expressed this opinion in an interview with Radio NV.

At the same time, he also recalled that Russian planes in the southern direction sometimes dropped up to hundreds of KAB guided bombs.

“Because they didn’t take into account that Patriot for aerodynamic purposes [operates at] a range of 160 kilometers,” the interlocutor explained.

Now it will be safer in the southern direction, because the Russian Armed Forces will take into account the possible presence of the American air defense system.

Previously, Russian troops used “conveyor belt mode” to drop 100 bombs per day. Now, every foray with KAB will be carefully planned.

“They will check if there is a Patriot nearby, because it has a characteristic signature of electronic signals,” the expert said, adding that the danger associated with the KAB will be reduced along the entire front line.
