Unknown Object Enters Polish Airspace From Ukraine

“In the morning, an unidentified air object entered the airspace of the Republic of Poland from the side of the border with Ukraine and from the moment it crossed the border until the signal disappeared, it was observed by the radars of the country’s air defense system.

In accordance with the current procedure, the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces mobilized the forces and means at his disposal,” the official statement says.

RMF FM, citing eyewitnesses, wrote that an object was seen at high speed in the commune of Dołhobyczów, Lublin Voivodeship, which is located near Przewodów, where a rocket exploded last year. A loud noise and whistle was heard. The search for the object may take place in the Zamoście area. There has been no information about the explosion. The publication's journalists suggest that we may be talking about a short-term violation of airspace, after which the object left it.

The representative of the operational command, Lieutenant Colonel Jacek Goryszewski, said on TVN24 that the combat readiness of all air defense systems and fighter aircraft had been increased. The target signal has been lost. The circumstances of the incident are now being established. According to him, the incident occurred in the Zamoście region.

Goryszewski refused to provide additional details, citing the fact that the circumstances were being established. He did not confirm that the object flew out of Polish territory or fell, promising to provide information when it was possible.

This night and morning, Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine. In total, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, 158 missiles of various types and drones were fired.
