The Russians stole a wooden toilet to heat the house.
The Russian police are investigating the theft of a public toilet in a village in the Urals. The local media even devoted a TV report to this egregious crime.
According to RIA Novy Den, a significant event took place in the Novoukrainsky village of the Chesmensky district of the Chelyabinsk region four years ago: a cesspool with a wooden plank cabin above it was built next to the local paramedic and obstetric station.
Someone meanly stole the local landmark which cost the budget as much as 10 thousand rubles one frosty night. The head of the village turned to the police to find the criminal who deprived the village of the main center of civilization.
The case turned out to be so loud that local journalists even filmed a TV report about the theft of the toilet.
“Public toilet. The authorities put it up a few years ago, but one day in January the closet disappeared. Who did deprive the villagers of the room for reflection and burn it in an oven instead of firewood? Our journalist will found it out,” the host of the Ural news said in a serious manner at the beginning of the TV report.
An investigation conducted by a local district police officer led to the trail of an unemployed resident of the same village. The police officer claims that the man was just firing the outdoor public toilet and meanly heating his house with these boards for two days.
It is known that by the time the local police officer arrived, all the boards had already been burned. The investigation considered the presence of an axe and wood chips near a log for chopping firewood on the suspect's farm as evidence. Now the person will be charged.
The story does not specify whether the FSB will check the suspect for links to Ukrainian intelligence, but local authorities have already stated that they will not construct a new toilet. They do not want to "risk".
