Poland Hands 250 T-72 Tanks Over To Ukraine

In the future, the country will transfer another 60 modernized T-72 and PT-91 Twardy.
Poland has already transferred 250 Soviet T-72 tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is reported by RBC-Ukraine with a reference to the statement of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
He noted that Poland will transfer 60 modernized T-72s and PT-91s to Twardy in the future.
“Poland has already delivered 250 post-Soviet tanks. We also plan to deliver another additional upgraded 60 tanks and another 14 Leopards,” he said.
According to him, Poland will continue to actively support Ukraine.

The third-generation Polish main battle tank is based on a licensed version of the Soviet T-72M1.
T-72
The main battle tank of the second generation was developed in the USSR. Adopted by the Soviet army in 1973. For 30 years of production, 14 major modifications have been made.
Leopard 2
German main battle tank of the third generation. Developed by Krauss-Maffei in the 1970s, it entered service in 1979 to replace the previous Leopard 1 as the main tank of the West German ground forces.
