'I'm Only One From Company Who Stayed': Captive Russian Marine Tells Truth About Battles For Vuhledar

A soldier from an "elite" unit blamed his commander for the defeat.

Russian marines from an "elite" brigade have been captured in Donbass and described their commanders' crimes. The Marines praised by Putin for their "successes" near Vuhledar in Donetsk Region have revealed the truth about what is happening on the front. They accused the commander of the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade, Colonel Mikhail Gudkov, of the ruthless use of Russian soldiers in the war against Ukraine.

A video of the captive occupants was published by military correspondent Andrey Tsaplienko on the TG channel.

"Without being given a specific task, people are sent to slaughter," the Russian soldier says of Putin's army's attempts to break through to Vuhledar.

There is no counting of casualties, no understanding of how the evacuation will take place. There is an order to entrench and no one cares how the soldiers will do it.

"I am the only one left out of the company. Fifty-nine are 'two-hundredths' now," notes the invader.

The Marine managed to survive as he saved his commanding officer's life and was taken to the rear. There they tried to defend themselves along with other occupiers, but ended up in Ukrainian captivity.

Another 20-year-old marine from the "elite" 155th Guards Brigade continued with his story: "The brigade management treats its personnel as "meat" to be consumed. The supply is about nothing. Everybody is assigned either to an assault battalion or to the Marines indiscriminately and without medical examination. Gudkov's only aim is for his men to capture the point and he does not care how many casualties they suffer.

From their experience, the prisoners urge Russians not to participate in Putin's "special operation".

"Don't even try. Defend your homeland, the Russian Federation, and don't get involved in Ukraine," the occupiers finished.
