Invasion From Belarus: ‘Sleeping’ Checkpoints Located In Kyiv

The top leadership of Ukraine does not rule out the possibility of an attack.

Kyiv conducted scheduled exercises on the deployment of the so-called ‘sleeping’ checkpoints and their fortification.

A TV story by TSN tells about this.

Representatives of the Ukrainian National Police, together with fighters of the National Guard of Ukraine and representatives of other military formations, trained the procedure of checking driver's license at checkpoints and carried out an inspection of suspicious civilian cars for disclosing weapons or other prohibited things.

In addition, as part of the command and staff exercises, law enforcement officers, together with the military, learned to deploy temporarily unused checkpoints and install new fortifications in a matter of hours.

Such exercises are regular activities, according to the military, and are not associated with a possible escalation of Russian aggression on the eve of the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the Russians. Training allows you to develop skills and quickly respond to possible challenges, including a possible attack by Russians from the territory of Belarus.

“We are checking vehicles and citizens. We are checking if there are things that are illegally circulated: weapons, explosives,” said police officer Yevhen Trukhan.

According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko, this training is aimed at improving and building up engineering equipment systems and air defence systems. The issues of ensuring public safety in case of exacerbation are also considered.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Putin still wants to occupy Kyiv. The head of state also said that "this week Russia can achieve revenge".

In the meantime, the occupiers do not stop provocations on the northern border. On February 23, Ukrainian intelligence noticed enemy military convoys movement near the border with the Chernihiv region.

Kyiv on its turn has been conducting training on the defence of the city since February 21.
