From St. Petersburg To Tuapse: Russia In Turmoil Over Drone Attacks

The Russian air defense forces did not react to the targets.

On Tuesday, February 28, a series of incidents and explosions related to drone attacks occurred in several regions of Russia at once. It is important to note that none of them was shot down by Russian air defense forces.

The Charter97.org website has collected everything that is known about UAV attacks at the moment.

At night, a fire broke out at an oil depot in Russian Tuapse. Photos of the incident appeared on local Telegram channels. According to the public, the fire was preceded by two explosions, as a result of which the windows of nearby houses were broken.

According to the Telegram channel, 30 meters from the scene there is a barracks with the Russian military.

Then the sky was closed over St. Petersburg and in the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation. Due to an unknown flying object, the "Carpet" plan was activated.

Two fighters took off into the sky — Su-35 and MiG-31.

The unidentified object that closed the sky, according to the media, looked like a large drone.

It was seen 160-200 kilometers from St. Petersburg.

In Russian Adygea, an unidentified aircraft also fell on a cowshed. The incident occurred in the Giaginsky district.

In the Bryansk region, drones attacked the technical observation point of the border department of the FSB. As a result of the attack, the tower of the Russian special service was put out of action.

An unmanned aerial vehicle crashed in the Moscow region a few meters from the fence of a gas compressor station owned by Gazprom.

"The drone crashed near the Gazprom facility in the Moscow region," reports one of the pro-Kremlin Telegram channels. They added that the UAV fell ten meters from the fence of the gas compressor station. The station is located in the Kolomna region.
