Its area is 2,600 square meters.
Putin has bought Olympic champion Alina Kabayeva the largest flat in Russia. It was paid for from the "purse" of Russian President Vladimir Putin - the Cypriot offshore of Ermira. This is alleged in an investigation by the Project newspaper.
It is about a two-storey penthouse of 2,600 square metres built in Sochi's Royal Park housing estate. It has a swimming pool, a cinema, a patio and its own helipad. Valentin Yudashkin worked on the design of the penthouse. In 2021, CIAN recognised this penthouse as "Russia's largest flat".
As Project found out, the penthouse was registered to Oleg Rudnov in 2011. The money to buy the property came to him from the presidential "purse" - the Cyprus offshore of Ermira. It is noted that the penthouse cost Rudnov about 90 million rubles, which is five times lower than the price quoted by the developer. Project refers to Rudnov as 'Putin's long-time nominee'.
The paper's source claims that Rudnov bought the penthouse specifically for Kabayeva. In addition, two flats on the upper and adjacent floors of the apartment complex were registered to Kabayeva's grandmother, Anna Zatsepilina.
The Project's correspondent, disguised as a buyer, met with two realtors selling flats in the building. According to them, they heard that the penthouse was "owned by Kabayeva".
The Project also found out that a 1,200-square-metre wooden tower had been built 800 metres from Putin's residence in Valdai. It is registered to the company Prime, which is registered to Vladimir Putin's friend Yury Kovalchuk. A source familiar with the layout of the presidential residence told journalists that the house was built especially for Kabayeva.
According to investigators, the estimated value of all of Alina Kabayeva's real estate is approaching $120 million.
