The man virtually has not appeared in the republic since the end of January.
Kadyrov gave Chechnya away to his close relatives. He began to lead the republic from the Maldives and Dubai, without appearing in front of the cameras, writes the ASTRA Telegram channel.
Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov fully switched to a remote work, transferring the republic to the control of his close people. He appoints his relatives to high posts while in the Maldives, and he monitors the state of affairs in Chechnya from Dubai.
As the authors of the Telegram channel noted, Kadyrov has not appeared in front of cameras since January 29. Then he took part in the opening of the MFC in Grozny. On February 2, a post allegedly from the capital of Chechnya appeared on Kadyrov’s Telegram channel, but it was probably written beforehand — the Grozny ChGTRK did not show the head of the republic for more than a week.
Almost all this time the head of the republic was not in Chechnya. On February 1, his Airbus ACJ319 flew from Grozny to Moscow. And the next day the plane went to the Maldives. Beacons are regularly turned off on the jet with tail number RA-73417, but a number of services still tracked the board. Only the day before, on February 5, it was noticed near Makhachkala. Where the $80 million plane is now is unknown.
Being in the Maldives, Kadyrov appointed yet another of his relatives to a high post. On February 2, Khamzat Kadyrov, the nephew of the head of Chechnya, became the Minister of Property and Land Relations of the region. Kadyrov also announced this not personally, but on his page on VKontakte. “Whoever I trust, I appoint,” the head of Chechnya commented on the incident (again on social media).
In January-February alone, Kadyrov spent at least two weeks outside Chechnya. At the beginning of the year, his Airbus ACJ319 was in Dubai— then Kadyrov also did not appear in front of the cameras, and the Grozny ChGTRK only quoted his posts on social media.
The head of Chechnya gave the republic to the control of his relatives. In November, he appointed his nephew Ibragim Zakriev head of the united ministries of property and land relations and agriculture of the Chechen Republic. In September, his son Ahmed, at the age of 16, headed all the children's and youth organizations of the republic. And in 2021, Kadyrov's daughter Aishat became the Minister of Culture of Chechnya.
