The Belarusian dictator is looking for a protectorate in other countries.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka's trust in Vladimir Putin is declining. As the expert of the Council of Foreign Policy “Ukrainian Prism” Oleksandr Kraev said on the air of Espresso, the Belarusian dictator is looking for new “defenders”.
“Lukashenka's rhetoric in Iran and China is the same, the psychological and political reference is the same. Lukashenka is trying to find himself a protector,” Krayev said.
The expert notes that Lukashenka is not sure that Putin will protect the Belarusian dictator and his entourage. Both dictators began to reduce trust in each other.
“Lukashenka already doubts that Putin will be able to protect him, his family, and his regime. Lukashenka understands that he needs a “golden parachute”. He needs a way out of the situation that may come when Putin's regime collapses. Finally, Lukashenka began to understand this. We can perceive such doubts of Lukashenka about Putin as a positive signal. Our enemies are starting to distrust each other,” Kraev added.
