Russian Secret Papers On Moldova Destabilization Revealed

Their strategy is of the same structure as the "plan" for the annexation of Belarus by 2030.

The media received Russian papers on the Moldova destabilization. As in the case of Moscow's recent "plan" to annexe Belarus. Yahoo News got it. The news publisher notes that the document, like the one about Belarus, is dated 2021 and comes from exactly the same Directorate for Cross-Border Cooperation of the Russian Presidential Executive Office. It was also developed with the participation of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, the FSB, the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation (SVR) and the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU).

The journalists say that the strategy towards Moldova is directed against the interference of the United States, the EU, Turkey and Ukraine in the affairs of the country, strengthening the influence of NATO and weakening the position of the Russian Federation. The document provides for Moldova's annexation to the EAEU and the CSTO. It should be noted that Moldova really actively participated in the EAEU summits as an observer country during Igor Dodon's presidential term, but after Maia Sandu won the elections and Russia launched the invasion of Ukraine in February last year, this actually was stopped.

The plan also involves the neutralization of any actions of the Moldovan government to withdraw Russian troops from Transnistria.

The strategy for Moldova has the same structure as the papers on Belarus. It indicates three areas: political, military and defence cooperation, humanitarian sector, trade and economy. They are setting short, medium and long-term goals. The papers are covering the period up to 2030. As a result, it is supposed to get stable pro-Russian groups among the Moldovan political and economic elites.

Recall that recently the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the intention of the Kremlin to destabilize Moldova. Later, Maia Sandu made an appeal and confirmed the existence of such a Russian plan. The Șor Political Party has been organizing rallies in Chisinau.

As Charter97.org reported, journalists got access to an internal document of the Russian authorities called “Strategic goals of the Russian Federation in Belarus”, according to which Russia is going to occupy Belarus by 2030. The investigation involved a group of journalists from the Süddeutsche Zeitung, WDR, NDR, Yahoo News, Delfi Eesti, Dossier Center, Expressen, Independent, Frontstory, Belarusian Investigation Center and VSquare.
