Lukashists Threaten EU With New Storms Of Illegals On Border

State Border Committee announced an increase in the number of migrants.

The State Border Committee of Belarus announces that there will be more illegal migrants on the border with the EU countries. However, it sees the reason for this only in better weather conditions.

"It is possible that the warm weather will make the organizers of illegal migration more active in the countries of origin, destination and transit," the official representative of the State Border Committee of Belarus, Anton Bychkouski, said.

The migration crisis on the borders of Belarus with Poland and Lithuania emerged in the second half of 2021. Migrants from the Middle East and Africa flew to Belarus to cross into the European Union illegally. Polish and Lithuanian border guards repeatedly testified that Belarusian border guards helped migrants cross the border. The West took the actions of the Belarusian authorities as a form of hybrid warfare.

As a result, Poland, followed by Lithuania, erected a barrier on the border with Belarus. Latvian authorities are considering a similar measure.
