Explosions Near Kyiv: Russia Carries Out Massive Attack With 'Shaheds'

The air defence forces have shot down drones over other regions of Ukraine as well.

Russia launched deadly Shahed UAVs towards Kyiv last night. The air defence forces destroyed all the targets.

"The enemy does not stop attacking Kyiv. This night the terrorist country once again launched its deadly UAVs in the direction of the capital. According to preliminary information, they were Shahed barraging munitions. Our air defence forces destroyed all the targets detected in the airspace around Kyiv," the head of the Kyiv city military administration, Serhiy Popko, said on his Telegram channel.

According to him, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties or destruction.

"For which we must once again thank our bodyguards of the sky - the anti-aircraft defence forces! They are true heroes!" added the KCMA chief.

Air Alert on the Night of March 22 - What Is Known

During the night of Wednesday, March 22, an air-raid alert was announced in Kyiv region because of the threat of drone attacks. In addition, danger warnings were heard in Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhitomir, Poltava, Cherkasy, Rivne, Khmelnitsky, Ternopil, Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

Explosions were heard in some Ukrainian regions, with the air defence system working in most cases.
