US Imposes Sanctions Against MAZ, BelAZ And Lukashenka's Aircraft

Election falsifiers were also included in the "black list".

The United States has imposed sanctions against companies and individuals from Belarus, including the Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ) and the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), according to the US Department of the Treasury.

“The following organizations have been added to the sanctions list of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC): OJSC BelAZ (the BelAZ-Holding is its parent company), OJSC Minsk Automobile Plant,” the document reads.

In addition, the list of sanctioned persons includes the Secretary of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Alena Baldouskaya, the head of the Central Election Commission Ihar Karpenka and other falsifiers.

Sanctions were also imposed against the aircraft used by Lukashenka.
