Minsk Airport Changing Screening System Because Of Sanctions

The equipment will be replaced by Chinese one.

Minsk National Airport is changing its screening system because of the sanctions. Western equipment will be replaced by the Chinese one.

The People's Republic of China will supply two complexes of screening equipment for Minsk airport.

First Deputy Prime Minister Mikalai Snapkou was authorized to sign the letter.

Snapkou said that the screening equipment from China will arrive at Minsk National Airport in a month's time.

"There was a specific problem concerning the baggage service at the airport, because there is still equipment from a hostile country. If it breaks down, there are serious difficulties in servicing passengers at the airport. The Chinese partners instantly reacted and will deliver the equipment manufactured in China," said Mikalai Snapkou.

"The delivery will be made within a month," the First Deputy Prime Minister clarified. "That is, in fact, an emergency aid".
