Lukashenka Approves Draft Law On 'Mobilisation' Of 150 Thousand Belarusians

Dictator Lukashenka has approved a draft law "On people's militia". This is stated in the relevant document, which appeared on the National Legal Internet Portal on March 9.

In the decision of the Security Council № 2 of March 6, 2023, Lukashenka ordered to "approve" the draft law "establishing a legal basis for the voluntary participation of citizens in the maintenance of martial law.

He also instructed Minister of Defence of Belarus Viktar Khrenin to "send the draft, finalized in the light of the suggestions and comments made," to the Council of Ministers "for its subsequent submission to the 'House of Representatives' within a month."

We remind you that according to Khrenin, the size of the "militia" could reach 100-150,000 people. It is planned that they will be provided with small arms, which they will keep in their possession.
