Mykhaylo Podolyak: Lukashenka Is Inadequate

Russia understands that it is losing, and is trying to do two things.

Russians seek to change the focus of attention of Ukrainians. They want Ukraine to care less about its foreign policy. Mykhaylo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, Russia uses Belarus for propaganda purposes.

Mykhaylo Podolyak explained that the Russians understand that for them the war against Ukraine is a losing one.

In his opinion, therefore, they are looking for any opportunity to do 2 things:

— Significantly reduce the intensity of the war as such in order to spend less resources and produce a certain accumulation;

— Fix the line of demarcation, which will be for them a springboard for the 3rd, 4th or 5th stage of the war.

“They will consider Russia's mission accomplished if they destroy Ukraine. But in order to be able to destroy Ukraine, the 3-day format is not suitable,’ said the adviser to the head of the OP of Ukraine.

It should also be understood that Russia will not be able to destroy Ukraine in three years.

Mykhaylo Podolyak stressed that the Russians are looking for an opportunity to reduce the intensity of the war in order to fulfill 3 strategic tasks at once.

“Modernize the army, forget about all these “no analogues”, carry out anti-corruption work and spend a little more money on the production of the military-industrial complex, accumulate weapons,” — this is how he described the first task.

According to him, the second task is to split the anti-Russian coalition that supports Ukraine.

“Involve Ukraine in the depletion of the internal space, both political, social and economic, so that we quarrel with each other here, and this is a very popular game “Hate the one standing next to you,” Podolyak outlined the third task of the Russians.

He also said that in this way Russia seeks to ensure that Ukraine focuses on domestic problems due to the decline of the economy.

“In parallel with this, political assassinations, coups, terrorist attacks in different regions, including Ukraine, this is Russia's plan,” he stressed.

In his opinion, Russia is striving to realize this scenario not alone.

The mission of Belarus in the game of Russians

Mykhaylo Podolyak said that such persons as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Siarhei Aleinik enter the arena.

“He surprisingly forgets that he is de facto directly involved in the war, providing infrastructure, airspace, reactivating weapons, transferring them to Russia, storing nuclear weapons, and so on,” he said.

According to him, Lukashenka's call to stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine indicates his inadequacy. In his opinion, what Russia will do is the business of Russia exclusively.

“On the contrary, they should talk less about something, initiate fewer proposals, so that some Aleinik would have some chances to say: “No, I just formally fulfilled certain powers,” Podolyak explained.

In his opinion, it would be better if he still records his participation in the aggression against Ukraine, because the Lukashenka regime will answer for everything anyway.
