AFU Went On Offensive In Bakhmut Recapturing Railway From Russians

The invaders were pushed back from the station.

Despite Easter, the Russian occupiers continue to storm Bakhmut. The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully counterattack. According to the latest data, the Ukrainian Defence Forces managed to regain control over the railway.

The Bakhmutsky Demon, an anonymous fighter, wrote about it from the scene on the afternoon of April 16 on Telegram.

He warned that the situation is highly volatile and rapidly changing. However, for now, the railway station remains under Ukrainian control.

"The station is ours. They are still attacking. It’s heavy there, nothing is stable,” the soldier said.

He clarified that Ivanivske, Khromove, as well as the western part of the city of Bakhmut, are firmly held by the Ukrainian forces.

The fiercest battles for Bakhmut have been going on for more than half a year. Perhaps the most combat-ready part of the occupying army of the Russian Federation, the Wagner PMC, was “hammered” in this fortified area, the losses of the enemy troops in the “meat assaults” are huge.

The enemy forces have decreased so much that they were forced to redeploy the rear in the Bakhmut direction under the control of the regular forces of the Russian Federation. The PMC is now operating in the city. According to experts, there are no more recruited convict fighters, but professional military units.
