The country's authorities stated it was a “provocation”.
Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan said that unknown people attacked the son of Armenian Prime Minister Ashot Pashinyan.
The official did not provide details of the incident, but said that it was another in a series of provocations against government officials and their relatives. Simonyan also mentioned the case in the Parliament when MP from the Hayastan bloc, member of the Dashnaktsutyun party Mher Sahakyan hit the head of the commission on state-legal issues Vladimir Vardanyan, and then in the center of Yerevan another representative of the Dashnaktsutyun insulted the speaker himself.
“This is a series of organized provocations, the traces of which, I am sure, are also outside the country,” the speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia wrote on social media.
