Security Forces Arrested Human Rights Activist Viktar Sazonau In Hrodna

The Lukashists came for the unarmed Belarusian man in ‘combat gear’.

Human rights activist Viktar Sazonau was arrested in Hrodna this morning. According to the Viasna Human Rights Center, security forces in "combat gear" came to arrest him.

The arrest grounds are still unknown. Viktar Sazonau was detained in July 2021, when there were searches at the places of human rights activists’ residences throughout Belarus. He was a suspect in the Viasna criminal case and was under house arrest. Later, the status of the suspect was removed from him.
