Husband Of Lukashenka’s Propagandist Faces 15 Years In Ukrainian Prison

He is accused of treason.

Oleh Voloshyn, a former Ukrainian MP from the pro-Russian Opposition Platform for Life political party, who fled to Belarus from Ukraine before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, faces 15 years in prison in two criminal cases.

The Press Service of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) reported this.

It is known that during 2020-2021, Voloshyn actively contributed to the top military-political leadership of the Russian Federation in carrying out large-scale subversive activities against Ukraine. He was suspected under two criminal articles, in particular, treason.

“According to the counterintelligence of the SSU, Voloshyn deliberately tried to manipulate the public opinion of Ukrainian citizens in the interests of the aggressor state. Being in the ranks of the banned Opposition Platform For Life political party, he publicly disseminated the Kremlin's standards regarding the social and political situation in our state. Also, in his numerous social media publications and TV speeches, Voloshyn tried to discredit Ukraine within the international engagement,” the SSU Press Service said.

It is noteworthy that Oleh Voloshyn is the husband of Lukashenka's propagandist Nadzeya Sas. They fled to Belarus 11 days before the invasion of Russian troops.

Voloshyn appeared on the TV Channels controlled by Lukashenka.
