Cherevaty: AFU Operation In Bakhmut Is Successful, Achieves One Of Main Goals

There is panic and exhaustion in the ranks of the invaders.

Today, almost 200 Russian invaders and 5 field ammunition depots in the Bakhmut region have been destroyed in battles. According to UNIAN, this was announced by the speaker of the eastern group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty on the air of the informational telethon.

He noted that there are signs of exhaustion of the Russian occupiers on the battlefield. “The first marker of this exhaustion is the almost daily hysterical statements of the criminal Prigozhin. Bakhmut remains the epicenter of hostilities. During these days there were 40 clashes. As a result of which 199 invaders were destroyed, 244 were injured and 15 were taken prisoner,” Cherevaty said.

He also reported on the destruction of three enemy tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, three Msta-B guns and five field ammunition depots. “As a result of counteroffensive actions and attacks by our units, as part of a defensive operation, the enemy was driven back to a distance of 250 meters to 1.5 km. And therefore, we can say that our defensive operation continues to be successful and achieves one of its main goals — to grind down the combat capabilities of the enemy, to bleed the enemy,” Cherevaty emphasized.

According to him, in addition to combat losses, the enemy's moral and psychological state is falling and elements of panic appear.

Cherevaty stressed that the invaders from the Wagner group cannot meet any deadline for the complete capture of the city of Bakhmut and the entire Donetsk region. “They continue to be destroyed-destroyed on a large scale. There is no replenishment for the “Wagner”. They are forced to use regular troops: motorized rifle and airborne troops, which are also recruited to a large extent from the mobilized,” Cherevaty said.

At the same time, he noted that Russian prisoners demonstrate that they are demoralized, have no motivation, and do not understand what they are fighting for.
